Museo de Sta. Rosa

For the first time me and my mother  visited Museo de Sta. Rosa. It  was a small museum but very rich in history of Sta. Rosa. I am so proud being Santa Rosan. My mother and I were amazed when we listened to smart tour guide about history of Sta. Rosa. It was so awesome.

Governments and Mayors of Sta. Rosa. The pictures in the display area are not complete because other are not restored while some are lost.

This mayor was a popular. He looked like Andres Bonifacio. Basilio Gonzales was considered  a great hero of Sta. Rosa because he fought bravely  during the American period.

Maria Evangelista Carpena was the first Filipino recording artist and called the "Nightingale of Zarzuela. .Tiongco brothers became popular in television during the 1970's.

.Traditional Dress  called "Taje de Mestiza" during the Spanish Period

These were old things used in the livelihood activities of people of Sta. Rosa in the old time .

With Virgina Ramos, officer in charge of the museum. I enjoy posing with caricature of Mayor Arlene Arcillas, the present mayor of Sta. Rosa.

The patron saint of Sta. Rosa, St. Rose de Lima, where the town's name were patterned  after her name.

The town plaza at present

Pictures of the three development of Arc of Sta. Rosa. The leftmost picture is the original structure and the right most is the present structural built of the Arc.

I want to encourage all to come and visit Sta. Rosa to experience the beauty , progress and heritage of my hometown.

Bonifacio Trial House

We went to the last trip, Bonifacio Trial House in Maragondon, Cavite. There were many ancestral houses near it. This was the last house Andres Bonifacio visited and  was seen alive which made me feel very sad. Maybe most of us , know this information  only now. There was no entrance fee to pay whenever you want to visit this place, but they accept donation.

These papers are not original. They are about Justice of Andres Bonifacio and his brother.

Me posing with Andres Bonifacio (leftmost in the picture, with his brother  sitting, and next his wife Gregoria.
Posing with Yvette, my friend and classmate  in Andres Bonifacio Statue.

After we visited Bonifacio Trial House, our professor have decided to have time for visiting the church of Maragondon. It related about the history of Andres Bonifacio's life. We 2nd year were enjoyable
Church  near the mountain  where Andres Bonifacio died.

My favorite wood door. This door is really old, about 17 century and has beautiful texture that I like. The quality remain even hundred of years passed already.
Inside the church where Andres was hidden.
The time was done. We went back to our school. Honestly I was not so satisfied because I wanted to visit Andres Bonifacio's death in the mountain in Maragondon.

Tejeros Convention Hall

After Emilio Aguinaldo Mansion, we went to Tejeros Convention Hall in Rosario, Cavite where Andres Bonifacio and KKK members meet.

This is the statue of Emilio Aguinaldo. From a distance, I thought it was Andres Bonifacio. They were both very brave and deserve to be remember through statue.

This is the place where KKK election for President and other positions was held.

This was at the back of Tejeros Convention Hall. It was old building and some damage things.

The old wall that surrounded of the Tejeros Convention Hall.

Long stairs with old stones.

During Spanish time, this river is used as a ship anchor.

We wanted to visit upper floors of the Tejeros Convention Hall but they are under repair. Sayang. We walked around the Tejeros Convention Hall on a short time. I was happy to  get a copy of brochure, about 150 year birthday  of Andres Bonifacio.

Emilio Aguinaldo Mansion

Last April 6, 2013 (Saturday), First trip was Emilio Aguinaldo Mansion in Kawit, Cavite. It was my second time to visit there. It was our History class-Field Trip

When I was there,  I was so amazed at the beauty of the place. I saw the bronze statue of Emilio Aguinaldo riding his horse. I also saw how big and grandeur is his mansion.
BAPDST 2nd year paying attention to our professor explaining about the statue of 1st President of the Philippines Emilio Aguinaldo.

Then we entered the gate of E. Aguinaldo Mansion. There was no entrance fee. It was very old but still beautiful and well maintained
This is a very old car, owned by the 1st President of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo. It was my first time to see such an old car.
This is old plate of his car.
We entered inside Museum. There were many old books and military equipments like guns and sword.

This is the picture of the original mansion in 1845.

We were excited to view the  inside of the mansion. The flooring was made of thick, hard wood. The doors were beautifully crafted and the furnitures were all antiques.

The room of Agunialdo's eldest son.

2nd year were curious to see ghosts inside the cabinet, he he he.

Kitchen

Old refrigerator, not electric, the only use ice.
Look at this. I was surprised that 1st President of the Philippines, Emilio Aguinaldo was only 5'3''.  Jose Rizal was shorter than him. "Small but terrible".

I really admired all the things inside the Emilio Aguinaldo Mansion, they speak of our past. My professor really was grateful to our kind tour guide, for allowing us to enter the mansion specially in allowing us to see the upper floor.  I will not forget this experience.
